OOO Belorusneft-Siberia (a branch of the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft) has drilled through 952 meters of rock in a day, beating its previous record by 30%, BelTA learned from the press service of the company.

This is the second time the daily drilling footage record has been beaten in 2.5 months. “Both records were set by drilling crew No.17 led by Vitaly Lakhurov that works at Romanovo Oil Field. The crew operates a mobile drilling machine APC-200 made by the Gomel-based company Seismotekhnika,” the press service said.

The new record was set at the construction site of oil well No.1106, well pad No.5. The intended depth of the well is 4,325 meters. The oil field is developed by AO Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz.

OOO Belorusneft-Siberia stepped up its partnership with AO Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz last year by signing a three-year contract. In the future the Belarusian company intends to establish long-term cooperation with this company.

OOO Belorusneft-Siberia is part of the Belarusian industrial group Belorusneft. The branch was established in 2008 with a view to offering such services as sidetracking, well drilling, well workover, flush water accompanying services, controlled-angle drilling, and plugging operations. The company has recently broken records for the yearly drilling footage and for the number of drilled sidetracks.
