Belarus, Russia to hold consultations on EAEU gas transportation rates

Belarus and Russia will hold bilateral consultations on gas transportation rates in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The agreement about it was reached at the videoconference meeting of the working group led by Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich. Taking part in the meeting were energy ministers of the EAEU member states, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

“The parties discussed gas transportation rates on the common market of the EAEU. An agreement was reached to hold bilateral consultations between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation to discuss the cost of gas transportation,” the press service informed.

The results of the consultations will be reported to members of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission at an ad-hoc videoconference meeting on 20 April.

The meeting of the working group took place on 14 April upon the instruction given by the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council on 10 April.
