Belarus’ export of transport services over $2bn in H1 2021

In H1 2021 the export of transport services exceeded $2 billion, Belarusian Transport and Communications minister Aleksei Avramenko reported to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 16 August, BelTA has learned.

According to the minister, in H1 2021 the export of transport services increased by 19% year-on-year and exceeded $2 billion. "In 2021 we are set to export $4 billion worth of services,”Aleksei Avramenko said. “Transport services account for almost a half (44.5%) of all services provided in the country."

"If you maintain this pace until the end of the year, it will be great," the head of state said.

In general, there was an improvement across all financial indicators of transport activities. Revenue from the sale of products, goods, works, services rose by 20.3%, sales margins - by 1.7%. Production and sales costs inched down by 2%.
