“Today, senior officials of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and partners from Belarus have informed that the balance sheets for the supply of Belarusian goods to Russia were agreed. These balance sheets apply to vehicles, combine harvesters, other mechanical engineering products, road equipment. These are dozens of items that were previously a matter of debate, but today we have found common ground on them. Maybe these approaches are not uniform yet, but in any case we are definitely moving towards the signing of a road map, or, as we call it today, a union program for a common industrial policy,” Dmitry Mezentsev said.
The meeting of the High-Level Group was co-chaired by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk. It was also attended by Executive Secretary of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia Sergei Strelchenko, heads of Belarusian and Russian ministries, senior diplomats of the diplomatic missions of the two countries, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.
