At the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, a resolution was adopted "On granting the products of Belarusian and Russian manufacturers the status of "Goods of the Union State". The Minister of Industry of Belarus Andrey Kuznetsov told which products can receive this status, BelTA has learned.

According to the minister, the assignment of the status pursues not only image goals. "This is a matter of protecting our common union market from other suppliers of the same products. Because priority should be given to the product that is produced in the Union State. And due to this, I think we will get such preferences," said Andrey Kuznetsov. In this way, labeling is designed to create competitive advantages for goods produced in Belarus and Russia compared to similar imported products.
Other key documents defining the vector of integration were also adopted at the meeting. These include resolutions "On the main directions of implementation of the provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State", as well as on the results of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries for 2024 and eleven months of 2025. In addition, the participants approved a draft resolution on the establishment of the Committee on Standardization and Quality of the Union State, which will be an important step towards the unification of requirements.
The Council of Ministers also reviewed the development of a strategy for the formation of a common information space for the period up to 2030 and the preparation of projects for the launch of cross-border commuter rail services, emphasizing an integrated approach to deepening integration in all areas.
