“Yes, it has been created,” Yuri Shuleiko said when asked whether a common agricultural market of the Union State has become a reality.
“Both sides are making adjustments in order to improve product quality and safety. We no longer talk about suspension or resumption [of shipments to the Russian market]. Monitoring is conducted to make sure that Russian and Belarusian buyers have equal access to quality products,” the deputy prime minister emphasized.
He also pointed to healthy competition between Belarusian and Russian food producers. “There has always been competition, each country pursues its own goals when it comes to promotion of strategic industries, and food production is among them. Today we have healthy competition,” Yuri Shuleiko emphasized.
While visiting the Prodexpo 2025 exhibition, the deputy prime minister, together with the ambassador of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik, studied the exposition of Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus, arranged by the Belinterexpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
