Union State MPs to discuss draft concept on approximating Belarusian, Russian laws on 20 January

A session of the Legislation and Regulations Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will take place on 20 January, the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia told BelTA.

The Union State MPs will sum up results of the parliament hearings on model lawmaking in the Union State of Belarus and Russia. Representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will brief the MPs on progress in work on the draft concept on approximating the legislation of the Union State member states. Proposals on improving the effectiveness of work in the parliamentary dimension will be discussed. Matters of present interest with regard to efforts to ensure equal rights of citizens of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will be discussed. Results of last year's work will be summed up.
Representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, representatives of ministries and government agencies of Belarus and Russia will participate in the session in addition to the Union State MPs.
