Union State MPs to discuss Belarus-Russia programs in science, education

The Commission on Science and Education of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will hold a meeting in Moscow on 28 February, BelTA learned from the PA press service. 

“The MPs are set to discuss the results of the implementation of the Union State programs and activities in 2024 that fall under the purview of the commission and the status of preparations for the new programs and activities of the Union State to be funded in 2025,” the press service noted.

In addition, the MPs will examine the progress of implementation of the PA resolution “On the formation and development of the common scientific and educational space of the Union State” adopted at the 66th PA session, and the priority areas of ensuring the Union State security in scientific, technological and innovative development.

The meeting will bring together representatives of the Belarusian Education Ministry, the Science and Higher Education Ministry and the Enlightenment Ministry of Russia, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus.
