Union parliamentarians will discuss issues related to science, education, and training of workers

A meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly's Commission on Science and Education will be held on March 13 in the Minsk Region at the EcoTechnoPark-Volma Resource Center, a branch of the Republican Institute of Professional Education, according to the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly.

The event is expected to be attended by representatives of the Permanent Committee of the Union State, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the State Committee for Science and Technology of the Republic of Belarus, the National Research Center Kurchatov Institute, and the Youth Chamber of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia.
During the meeting, the parliamentarians will discuss the results of the implementation of the Union State's programs and activities related to the Commission's work in 2025, as well as the progress of preparations for the implementation of new Union State programs and activities scheduled for funding in 2026.
The progress of the implementation of the Union State Science and Technology Development Strategy for the period up to 2035 and the implementation of the priority tasks of the first stage (2025-2026) of the Union State Network University of High Technologies Development Program will also be reviewed.
The issue of developing cooperation between Belarus and Russia within the framework of the Union State in the training of qualified workers is planned to be discussed. The parliamentarians will consider joint activities aimed at improving the system of vocational, secondary vocational, and special education in the two countries.
In addition, the parliamentarians will discuss the role of educational and enlightenment activities in shaping the future of the Union State, which is aimed at preserving and protecting historical memory and fostering patriotism among students.
