On September 2, a meeting on current issues of union construction was held at the Standing Committee of the Union State in Moscow, with the participation of the Representative Office of the Standing Committee of the Union State in Minsk via videoconference.

The business part of the meeting was preceded by an award ceremony for the Deputy Head of the Department of Defense Industry and Military-Technical Cooperation Vladimir Lopatkin. He was awarded the FSMTC of Russia medal "For Distinction" for his services in solving the tasks assigned to the service.
The meeting participants then considered a number of topical issues. These included the preparation by the Standing Committee of the Union State of materials for the upcoming meetings of the Supreme State Council of the Union State, the Council of Ministers of the Union State, and the High-Level Group.
The topics of discussion also included issues of intellectual property in the Union State. As was emphasized at the meeting, today a single legal framework for intellectual property in the Union State has not been fully formed. The Standing Committee requested information from the relevant structures of Russia and Belarus.
REFERENCE: The intellectual property of the Union State is a system of legal norms and measures regulating the protection and use of the results of intellectual activity (copyrighted works, inventions, trademarks, etc.) within the framework of the integration of Russia and Belarus in a single political, economic and humanitarian space.
Another topic of discussion is the upcoming Youth Forum of the Union State "The Role of Youth in Preserving and Protecting Historical Memory" and the XVIII Festival "Youth - for the Union State" in Mogilev from September 5 to 8, 2025.
Head of the Department of Social Policy and Information Support Olga Boronenko informed that 25 million Russian rubles have been allocated for events in Mogilev through the Union State. State Secretary of the Union State Sergey Glazyev plans to take part in the plenary part of the Forum. Head of the DSPIO Olga Boronenko will take part in the Festival events and sectional work of the Forum.
The idea of the Union State Youth Forum is to build a dialogue with active youth to develop coordinated approaches to patriotic education, harmonize legislation and develop a Strategy for the Development of Youth Policy of the Union State. The participants of the Forum include deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly, members of the Youth Chamber under the PA, members of the youth chambers under the parliaments of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation, young historians, representatives of youth organizations and the scientific community of the two countries.
