A meeting was held between the Minister of Architecture and Construction, Vadim Olshevsky, and the First Deputy Governor of the Novgorod Region, Evgeny Bogdanov. Special attention was paid to the construction materials industry. “We are ready to work on the supply of cement, railway and airfield slabs,” the head of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture emphasized. He also highlighted the wide range of products from the Belarusian glass industry, including medical glass, the production of insulation materials and ceramics, and the availability of expertise in construction. As an example, Vadim Olshevsky cited cooperation with the Kaluga Region.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to clarify the volumes and range of supplies, identify partner companies and responsible executors, and organize an exchange of visits by business circles and company executives. A broader range of issues was then considered at the sixth meeting of the joint working group on cooperation between Belarus and the Novgorod Region of Russia.
At the "INNOPROM. Belarus" event, the supply of fiber cement and chrysotile cement products for Belarus’ infrastructure projects was discussed. This topic was raised during negotiations with Ivan Gorin, Minister of Economy, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Mordovia, and Miras Kurmambayev, General Director of Lato‑Fasad LLC. Agreements were reached to explore the possibility of supplying products to the Belarusian market, as well as products from the enterprises of the Ministry of Construction Architecture to the market of the Republic of Mordovia.
In addition, agreements were signed between OJSC “Gomelsteklo” and JSC “Bryanskselmash”. “For the construction sector of Belarus, ‘INNOPROM’ is primarily a practical working platform.” It is important for us not just to show what the Belarusian construction industry is capable of today, but to identify specific areas for further cooperation, new technologies, equipment, and partners for the implementation of joint projects. At the ministry’s stand, we tried to present the construction sector in a fairly broad way — from raw materials and the production of construction materials to design, engineering solutions, and construction itself,” Vadim Olshevsky concluded.
