The gala concert "The power of the earth – the power of the people" dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Nations of Belarus and Russia was held in Minsk

Today, on April 2, the Palace of the Republic hosted a gala concert "The Power of the earth - the power of the people" dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Nations of Belarus and Russia. The welcoming addresses of the President of the Republic of Belarus, President of the Federal State Council Alexander Lukashenko, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, together with Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and RussiaVyacheslav Volodin were read out, the correspondent of Soyuz.by reports.

A colorful concert program were held on the stage of the Big Hall of the Palace of the Republic, which reflected the general history of the two countries.

Artistic groups from Belarus and Russia performed in front of the audience. Among them are the National Academic Folk Choir of the Republic of Belarus named after G.I.Tsitovich, the State Ensemble of the Russian Cossacks, the State Academic Dance Ensemble of Belarus, the Metropolitan Choir of the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Minsk, the Novosibirsk Choir of the Igor Krutoy Academy. Belarusian singer Pyotr Elfimov, Honored Artist of Belarus Vladimir Tkachenko, National Artist of Belarus Vladimir Gromov, actors of Belarusian theaters and winners of festivals and competitions also performed.

The audience craved the State Ensemble of the Russian Cossacks with a special program with creative performances.

The gala concert ended with the performance of the song "Russia and Belarus" by Belarusian artists Irina Dorofeeva, Peter Yelfimov – the owner of the Francisk Skorina Medal, and all the participants of the concert program.
