The Council of the Republic approved the ratification of the agreement with Russia on the recovery of debts under enforcement documents

The Council of the Republic has approved the bill "On the Ratification of the Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation on Certain Issues Regarding the Execution of Enforcement Documents in Which State Bodies and Budgetary Organizations of the Republic of Belarus Are the Creditors," BELTA reports.

In presenting the bill, Belarusian Justice Minister Yevgeny Kovalenko noted that the agreement addresses issues not covered by Russian legislation regarding the collection of debts – based on enforcement documents – in Russia by Belarusian state bodies and budgetary organizations.
The agreement enables the effective resolution of matters concerning the transfer of funds collected in Russia to Belarusian state bodies and budgetary organizations.
