The Belarusian government has approved the Union State projects

The Belarusian government has approved the following Union State projects: "On the organization and development of cross-border suburban passenger transportation in the Union State by rail between the adjacent border territories of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the regions of the Republic of Belarus along the Smolensk-Vitebsk route," "On the organization and development of cross-border suburban passenger transportation in the Union State by rail between the adjacent border territories of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the regions of the Republic of Belarus along the Smolensk-Orsha route."
The corresponding resolution was signed by the Prime Minister of Belarus, Alexander Turchin.

The purpose of the projects is to organize and develop regular cross-border suburban passenger transportation of the Union State between the regional (administrative) centers of the adjacent border territories of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation and the regions of the Republic of Belarus along the Smolensk-Vitebsk and Smolensk-Orsha routes.
The projects are of an image and socially oriented nature. The financing is planned to be carried out at the expense of the Union State budget. The total amount of financing in 2026-2028 will be about 940,734 thousand Russian rubles.
