The Belarusian Embassy in Russia discussed prospects for developing Belarusian-Russian relations

Yuri Seliverstov, Ambassador of Belarus to Russia, held a working meeting with Olga Petrashova, First Deputy Executive Secretary of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia. During the meeting, a substantive exchange of views took place regarding the prospects for developing comprehensive Belarusian-Russian ties and deepening integration processes within the Union State, the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia reported.

The parties discussed in detail specific measures aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of interaction with the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly, as well as intensifying joint work in key areas of Union State development.

The dialogue focused on practical issues of ensuring the implementation of joint cooperation projects in all areas without exception.

One of the key topics of discussion was ensuring the principle of equal rights for citizens of Belarus and Russia. Furthermore, the meeting participants agreed on a preliminary schedule of upcoming bilateral parliamentary contacts aimed at further strengthening Union State relations.
