Several topical issues on the Union State agenda reviewed at the Standing Committee meeting on April 14

On April 14, a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Union State was held in Moscow, with the Representative Office in Minsk joining via videoconference.

The agenda included preparations for the upcoming High-Level Panel (HLP) meeting. As previously reported, the HLP is expected to consider approximately 14 issues.
As is customary, priority is given to the Main Directions for the implementation of the provisions of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State (for the period 2027-2029). In addition, the HLP will discuss the introduction of electronic document management, the financing of a number of investment projects, the commencement of the Union State Media Company, and other matters.
Meeting participants were informed about other events scheduled for the second and third quarters of 2026 to be conducted under the auspices of the Union State Standing Committee.
These events include:
- Organization and hosting of the scientific and practical conference "Comprehensive Information Protection";
- The Union State historical and patriotic youth project "Train of Rememberance";
- The "Creativity of the young" Festival;
- Match meeting on athletics among teams of the Union State;
- The meeting of young environmentalists "Ecology Without Borders";
- The "Union State at Kupala" event within the framework of the national festival "Alexandria gathers friends";
- Union State Days at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk";
- Tourist meeting for students of the Union State;
- A rally of student brigades of the Union State;
- Large-scale Belarusian-Russian forum "Great Heritage - Common Future";
- The "Youth - for the Union State" Festival ;
- A rally for senior citizens "We are for active longevity";
- As well as a patriotic cadet session "For the honor of the Motherland".
