Sergey Glazyev: Union State goods may receive special status by the end of the year

The status of "Union State goods" may be introduced by the end of the year, and manufacturers of machine tools and motor vehicles will receive it in a pilot format. Sergey Glazyev, State Secretary of the Union State, told Rossiyskaya Gazeta about this on the sidelines of the Integration Eurasian Business Forum.

"The idea here is to introduce the very concept of "goods of the Union State", with which you can continue to work. Now we are talking about machine tool construction and road transport. These positions are considered appropriate as pilot positions for the deployment of projects. There are obviously well-known examples that are goods of the Union State: BelAZ, MAZ, tractor construction," he said.
According to him, the relevant methodology has been prepared and agreed upon.
"Next week, I hope, it will be approved by the high-level group, and then the Council of Ministers will introduce this concept into our legal system. We hope that the Council of Ministers will be held before the end of this year," Sergey Glazyev added.
