Belarusian builders are constructing social facilities in different regions of Russia: Kaluga Oblast, Voronezh Oblast, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and Vladimir Oblast, Krasnodar Territory and Primorye Terittory, and St. Petersburg, Belarusian First Deputy Architecture and Construction Oleg Shvets told BelTA.

For example, Belarusian builders helped construct six schools and four kindergartens in Kaluga Oblast. Belarus also took part in the construction of the Federal Technopark of Vocational Education in Kaluga. The work on it was completed in May 2024. It is a modern 28,000 m2 site that houses 30 laboratories with high-tech equipment for training instructors and apprentices from all over Russia in 15 industries (from microelectronics to heavy engineering).

Belarusian specialists build many social facilities in Voronezh Oblast. A school for 520 students was built in the village of Strelitsa and another school for 500 students with a kindergarten for 220 children was constructed in Semiluki. In August 2023, thanks to builders from Belarus, an educational center for 2,860 students, the largest school in Russia, was opened in Voronezh. In June 2024, Belarusian builders completed the construction of the 10,000-capacity stadium Fakel. According to the first deputy minister, there are also ongoing projects: Belarusian builders are set to complete the construction of a kindergarten for 600 children in Voronezh in June 2025.

Another major customer is Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. In December 2024, Belarusian builders completed the construction of a school for 1,500 students in Arzamas. Agreements have also been reached to build schools in other cities of the region - Balakhna and near Kstovo. The parties are discussing the possibility of building standard fitness centers by Belarusian specialists in municipal districts of the region.

“We implement a lot of construction projects in Russian regions. We also provide design services for social and sports facilities. This area of activity is especially relevant for work with Primorye Territory,” Oleg Shvets added. “In 2024 Belgosproyekt Institute carried out preliminary design of a regional hockey center and a boxing center to be constructed in Vladivostok, and completed the preliminary design of a hospital for 419 beds in the city of Nakhodka.”

It was noted that increasing exports of services remains one of the priority vectors of development of the Belarusian construction complex. The industry increased exports of construction, engineering and architectural services in 2024.
