Sergei Kandybovich briefed Ambassador Yuri Seliverstov on the structure and key aspects of the FNKA’s activities, with particular attention given to the autonomy’s regional branches and youth engagement.

“The parties took stock of the cooperation between the embassy and the Belarusian diaspora in Russia and identified promising new avenues to enhance their joint work, especially in advancing the Belarusian language and culture in Russia and upholding the shared historical memory. The parties agreed to continue mutual support for events, for example, the International Women’s Congress (dedicated to the Year of the Belarusian Woman) at the Business and Cultural Complex of the Belarusian Embassy,” the press service said.

The parties exchanged views on the working formats of Belarusians in Russia with state bodies and organizations in both Belarus and Russia, and on diaspora participation in the Consultative Council for Belarusians Abroad under the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
