Russia's Tatarstan is interested in Belarus' expertise and knowledge in the forestry industry, BelTA learned from the press service of the Forestry Ministry of Belarus.

A delegation of forestry industry specialists from Tatarstan familiarized themselves with the best practices of the forestry industry of Belarus. They visited two landmark facilities - the National Forest Breeding and Seed Center and the Personnel Training Center of the Forestry Ministry. While visiting the breeding center, the guests paid special attention to the oak cherry cultivation technology.
Forestry Minister of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov spoke highly of the forestry management in Belarus. He noted that the best Soviet traditions have been preserved in the country. “Everything is well-organized,” the minister emphasized. The foresters of Tatarstan intend to adopt and implement some practices of their Belarusian counterparts.
After touring some forestry industry facilities, the Russian foresters shared their impressions with the leadership of the Forestry Ministry of Belarus. “Tatarstan is interested in Belarus' forestry management practices. The information provided by the Belarusian colleagues will help improve forestry management in the republic,” the press service of the Belarusian Forestry Ministry noted.
A series of official events was completed with a flower laying ceremony at the Minsk Hero-City Stele. Also, the delegation from Tatarstan visited the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War History.
