Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast viewed as reliable partner of Belarus

Russia's Nizhny Novgorod Oblast is a long-standing and reliable partner of Belarus, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Valery Mitskevich said at a meeting with a delegation of Nizhny Novgorod Obast of Russia headed by Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the region Yevgeny Lyulin, BelTA has learned.

"Nizhny Novgorod Oblast is our long-standing and reliable partner. We maintain fairly stable ties. Our relations are developing quite dynamically. It is important that we multiply the accumulated experience of cooperation," Valery Mitskevich said.
It is expected the regional councils of deputies of Brest, Vitebsk and Grodno will sign agreements on cooperation with the Legislative Assembly of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
"I am sure that this will give further impetus to the development of our relations in various fields. This is the provision of equal rights of citizens, support for domestic producers, integrated development of rural communities and much more. It is at the regional level that we can see the best examples of public diplomacy in action," the vice speaker said.
Cooperation between regions contribute a lot to the development of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, the vice speaker noted.
