Putin to attend Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia

The Kremlin's press service has confirmed Russian President Vladimir Putin's participation in the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, BelTA has learned.

On 1 July, Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the plenary session of the 8th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia alongside Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko (via a video link )," the Kremlin press service said in a statement.

The theme of the plenary session is "Scientific and technological cooperation between Belarus and Russia in the age of digitalization”. "Attending the event will be senior officials of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, governments of the two countries, the Standing Committee of the Union State and also the heads of the subjects of the Russian Federation and the regions of the Republic of Belarus," the press service added.
