Preparations for upcoming Union State summit discussed in Moscow

The agenda and preparations for the upcoming meetings of the Supreme State Council, the Council of Ministers, the High-Level Group at the Council of Ministers of the Union State timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Union State Treaty were discussed at a meeting between Belarusian Ambassador to Russia, Special Representative of the Republic of Belarus for Integration Cooperation in the Union State Aleksandr Rogozhnik and State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

"Particular attention was paid to specific measures to intensify work on ensuring equal rights for citizens of Belarus and Russia in the Union State, including in terms of customs inspection and border control at airports, a shortage of railway transport on holidays and weekends, the abolition of roaming and a number of other issues," the press service said.

"The parties agreed on further measures to set up a media company of the Union State in order to improve the quality of information support for the integration processes," the diplomatic mission noted. 

"An agreement was reached to continue working contacts across the entire spectrum of cooperation within the framework of the Union State," the press service added.
