Plans to develop Belarusian-Russian joint army communications system discussed

A meeting of representatives of the Belarusian army and the Russian one is taking place in Moscow on 23-26 March in accordance with this year's plan on cooperation between the Belarusian Defense Ministry and the Russian one. The meeting has been arranged to discuss the development and creation of upcoming means and systems of military communications for the sake of coupling them with the field communications systems the Belarusian and Russian armies use, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The Belarusian delegation is led by Chief of the Communications of the Armed Forces, Chief of the Communications Office of the General Staff Oleg Mishchenko.
Prospects of further Belarusian-Russian cooperation in the area of military communications are on the agenda of the meeting. The sides will discus the joint development and creation of military communications systems and the procedure for connecting the territorial communications systems of the Belarusian and Russian Armed Forces for the sake of developing and improving the joint communications system of the regional military force.
The organization of the Confident Reception event as part of the 2021 International Army Games will be discussed as well. The event will once again take place in Belarus this year. The meeting proceeds in a friendly and businesslike atmosphere, during which directions of development of the military communications system of the regional military force are determined, the Belarusian Defense Ministry added.
