On the Meeting of the Standing Committee of the Union State on September 8, 2026

The previous day, a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Union State was held in Moscow and Minsk in the format of video conference. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus and the leadership of the Media Company of the Union State.

The participants discussed the draft agenda for the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State, scheduled for October 1, 2026, in Minsk. Particular emphasis was placed on issues requiring prompt refinement with the involvement of relevant agencies from Belarus and Russia.
Subsequently, at the initiative of the Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus, Dmitry Zhuk, a detailed discussion regarding the operations of the Union State Media Company took place.
Union State State Secretary Sergey Glazyev highlighted problem areas in the new media resource's operations and offered recommendations to improve its efficiency. A report was also presented regarding the transfer of assets from the now-defunct Broadcasting Organisation "Soyuz" to the Union State Media Company.
The meeting acknowledged the work of Supervisory Board members Boris Kostenko and Natalia Polukarova in drafting proposals for the content strategy of the Union State Media Company, as well as the work of Oleg Slizhevsky in preparing the legal and contractual documentation governing the activities of the Media Company’s director.
