MPs of Belarus, Russia to meet in Soligorsk on 6 March

Soligorsk will play host to a joint session of the commissions on energy, transport, industry and trade of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State on 6 March, the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly told BelTA.

“The session will discuss the development of cooperation between Belarus and Russia in microelectronics and machine tool engineering, ensuring equal conditions for Russian and Belarusian carriers within the Union State, and proposals to subsidize transportation between the regions of Russia and Belarus,” the press service noted.

The participants of the session are set to review the status of the comprehensive Union State program to develop the natural gas motor fuel market and the efforts to form a common scientific and technological space of the Union State and to update a tentative list of priority scientific, technological and innovation programs and projects of the Union State.

Invited to participate in the event are representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the ministries of energy, industry, transport and agriculture of Belarus and Russia, the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus, the Science and Higher Education Ministry of Russia and the State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus.
