Moscow Oblast will host the Forum of Sister Cities of Belarus and Russia in 2024, BelTA reports.

The participants of the 12th edition of the forum that is running in Brest now upheld the proposal of the Twinned Cities international association to hold the next forum in Moscow Oblast in April 2024. This forum will be dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the international association and the 80th anniversary of the world's first twinning between the USSR's Stalingrad and England's Coventry.

The program of the ongoing forum includes the exchange of best practices between Belarus and Russia in various fields of activity, and discussion of new projects. The plenary session and workshops were very fruitful, which demonstrated the mutual interest of Belarus and Russia in even more active interaction in the wake of the harsh sanctions from the West.

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants of the 12th Forum of Sister Cities of Belarus and Russia.
