Moscow hosting Union State Council of Ministers

A meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Belarus-Russia Union State is taking place in Moscow, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian delegation at the meeting is headed by Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin. The event is chaired by Head of the Union State Council of Ministers, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The Belarusian delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister Natalya Petkevich, Belarusian Ambassador to Russia Yuri Seliverstov, Industry Minister Aleksandr Kuznetsov, Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Lyakhnovich, Finance Minister Vladislav Tatarinovich, Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar, Chairperson of the State Committee for Standardization Yelena Morgunova, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavel Utyupin, Director of the National Tourism Agency Kiril Masharski, and representatives of the Belarusian government.
The meeting agenda includes 14 items. Among them are discussions on the main directions for implementing the provisions of the Union State Treaty, and the results of trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation. Among the special topics are granting the status of Union State goods to products from Belarusian and Russian manufacturers as well as the development of a fundamentally new structure - the Union State Committee for Standardization and Quality.
Particular attention is planned to be given to launching cross-border railway passenger services between Belarus and Russia, progress in developing a strategy for forming a common information space, and implementing the Union State’s migration policy concept.
