Dmitry Mezentsev, State Secretary of the Union State, said that despite external pressure, the Union State was demonstrating steady economic growth and trade turnover.
Dmitry Mezentsev stressed that the unprecedented pressure that Russia and Belarus are facing today is a consequence of the imposition of a model of international relations based not on universally recognized norms, but on rules established by individual states.
"Despite this pressure, the response, including in the format of the Union State, is an increase in the GDP of Russia and Belarus, an increase in trade turnover, and in its own way, 2024 and 2023 have become unique, when a record high of foreign trade turnover of more than 52 billion dollars has become an indicator that the economies are developing, and they complement each other," said the State Secretary of the Union State.
He also noted that the 28 union programs approved by the heads of state and government are the foundation for integration.
