Mezentsev: Belarus, Russia are working on new package of Union State integration programs

Belarus and Russia are working on a new package of Union State integration programs, Dmitry Mezentsev, State Secretary of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, said at the 8th edition of the Belarusian Space Congress, BelTA has learned.

Twenty-eight Union State integration programs were approved by the Supreme State Council in November 2021. "The heads of government and the supervising vice prime ministers confirm that work on the programs is on schedule approved at the stage of signing. We are talking about almost 50% of the implementation of these programs. Preliminary work is already underway on the proposals for a package of new programs of the Union State. They can be launched in 2024," Dmitry Mezentsev said.
As it has been reported, the Union State programs approved in November 2021 are aimed at approximating the legislation of Belarus and Russia in various sectors of the economy, leveling the playing field for economic entities of the two countries, building common markets of finance and energy, transport, and implementing common industrial and agricultural policies.
