Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Belarus Vladimir Pertsov, Minister of Culture of Belarus Ruslan Chernetsky and Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova met in Moscow, BELTA shared.

The parties discussed the implementation of the interdepartmental cooperation plan, which includes events timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. On 2 April, the New Stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia will host a major cultural event dedicated to the Great Victory - the performance ‘Pathetic Diary of Memory’ from the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus.

One of the key initiatives of the Russian presidency in the CIS in 2024 was the proposal to create the Great Youth Consolidated Choir of the CIS member states. The first performance of the choir is scheduled for 9 May in Zaryadye Park in Moscow as part of the concert to mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory. Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music are expected to take part.

Russian museums and their Belarusian partners are preparing several exhibition projects for this year, most of which will be dedicated to the theme of the victory of the Soviet people over fascism. The schedule of tours of Belarusian theatres in Russia for 2025 has also been drawn up and agreed upon. In April, the Mogilev Regional Drama Theatre will present three performances on the stage of the Bryansk Regional Drama Theatre named after A.K. Tolstoy.

Olga Lyubimova suggested that Belarusian filmmakers should participate in the open Eurasian Film Awards to be held this year. The creation of the Eurasian Academy of Cinematographic Arts and the award will create a new international platform for cooperation in the cinema sphere, support for talented artists and promotion of common values of the peoples of Eurasia. The head of the Russian Ministry of Culture invited the heads of Belarusian museums and galleries to visit the international festival ‘Intermuseum’, and talented young people - the International Children's Cultural Forum. The Belarusian delegation is also expected at the St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures.

Vladimir Pertsov and Ruslan Chernetsky invited Olga Lyubimova to visit the Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk festival.
