According to Veniamin Kondratyev, the construction of the multi-brand trade and maintenance center BELARUS is a significant event for Krasnodar Territory, as it is another step in the mutually beneficial, fraternal and partnership relations with Belarus.
“The legendary BELARUS tractor is very important for our agro-industrial region. It has always been, is and, I am sure, will be used in our agriculture, utilities services. We talked about it two years ago when we took the first steps in cooperation with Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ). A year ago we launched the production of tractors in our region. In September 2023 we signed an agreement on the construction of a trade and maintenance center. After two months from that we are already implementing this agreement,” the Krasnodar Territory governor told the story of cooperation with Belarus' MTZ.
Veniamin Kondratyev said he had no doubt that the center would be constructed very fast and in a year the trade and maintenance center would receive its first customers. “I am confident that the BELARUS center will become a trade and maintenance hub in the south of Russia, as our neighboring regions will also be using its services. The BELARUS tractor is a tractor that is needed both in agriculture and utilities services of our region,” the Krasnodar Territory governor said.
According to Veniamin Kondratyev, the Russian region plans to purchase 150 Belarusian tractors this year. The governor added that he had no doubt that the purchases would continue the next year. “Some 60% of the machine and tractor fleet of our agro-industrial complex is BELARUS tractors. Now, with maintenance services coming to Kuban, the number of tractors in the region will be increasing,” Veniamin Kondratyev said.
The construction of the BELARUS center was launched by Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and Krasnodar Territory Governor Veniamin Kondratyev during the visit of the Belarusian government delegation to Russia's Krasnodar. On 21 November, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko is set to take part in the opening ceremony of the 30th International Exhibition of Agricultural Machinery, Equipment and Materials for Crop Production YUGAGRO 2023.
