Glazyev sent greetings to the participants of the joint cadet shift “For the Honor of the Fatherland”

The National Children’s Educational and Health Center “Zubrenok” is hosting a civic and patriotic cadet session for students of the Union State, titled “For the Honor of the Fatherland.”
Today at the “Zubrenok” is a festive day - Union State Day. Representatives of the Permanent Committee of the Union State and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia came to congratulate the session participants.
The young cadets received a greeting from the State Secretary of the Union State, Sergey Glazyev. The greeting from the State Secretary of the Union State was voiced by Viktor Sirenko, a consultant at the Representative Office of the Permanent Committee of the Union State in Minsk.

NOTE: From September 8 to 28, 2026, the National Children’s Educational and Health Center “Zubrenok” is hosting the civic and patriotic cadet camp for students of the Union State, “For the Honor of the Fatherland,” which brings together 42 teams from cadet institutions in Belarus and Russia.
The “For the Honor of the Fatherland” camp has been held at “Zubrenok” since 2007. Over the years, more than 8,000 cadets from over 50 regions of the Russian Federation and all regions of Belarus have taken part in it.
“Today is the Day of the Union State - an event that is always awaited here with special trepidation and excitement,” State Secretary of the Union State Sergey Glazyev noted in his welcoming address. He particularly emphasized that the composition of the participants in the session - young people from various parts of Belarus and Russia - is the best confirmation of an active civic stance, deep respect for the common historical heritage, and a sincere desire to build the future of the Union State.
The participants of the shift had a unique opportunity to touch the heroic pages of the past: to walk through the citadel of the Brest Fortress and to feel the grandeur of the feat of the Soviet soldier at the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War in Minsk.
“On the Belarusian land, which reverently preserves the memory of the fallen, each of you becomes even more acutely aware of how fragile peace is and how dear to us are unity, loyalty to duty, and love for the Fatherland,” the greeting states.
Sergey Glazyev expressed confidence that the civic‑patriotic cadet camp for students of the Union State, “For the Honor of the Fatherland,” became a time of new reflections and discoveries for its participants.
“You have once again confirmed that honour, camaraderie and justice have always been and remain the foundation of all worthy endeavours. And your friendship is the best evidence of the unbreakable bonds that unite Belarus and Russia,” the State Secretary of the Union State emphasized.
The Union State Day is the central event of the programme for students in grades IX–X at cadet schools, cadet corps, cadet boarding schools and military‑patriotic classes in Belarus and Russia.
The shift is held under the patronage of the Permanent Committee of the Union State, as part of the Union State’s action plan, in accordance with the work plans of the Ministry of Education of Belarus and the Ministry of Education of Russia.
