Glazyev sent greetings to the participants and organizers of the Union Gathering of Older Generations "We are for active longevity"

"For the first time within the framework of the Union State, such a large‑scale event is being held for citizens of the older generation. This testifies to the deep respect for people of the "silver" age, to the recognition of their enormous contribution to the development of our countries, and to strengthening the traditions of friendship and mutual assistance between the peoples of Belarus and Russia," the State Secretary of the Union State says in his greeting.

Sergey Glazyev is convinced that the outcome of the gathering will be the development of common approaches to creating conditions for the most complete and effective realization of the potential of the older generation and for the sustainable improvement of their quality of life. "Only through joint efforts can we make active longevity the norm of life," the State Secretary noted.

Sergey Glazyev expressed confidence that the exchange of best practices, face‑to‑face communication and new acquaintances would help strengthen friendly ties between the peoples of Belarus and Russia, as well as promote interregional cooperation in the social sphere.

The State Secretary of the Union State sent special words of gratitude to the event organizers: the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, and the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
