At the Karacharovo sanatorium, located in the Tver region of the Russian Federation, citizens of Belarus and Russia undergo medical and wellness treatments as part of the annual event of the Union State, titled "Organization of Sanatorium-Resort Treatment for Veterans and Disabled Participants of the Great Patriotic War and Military Operations."
Sanatorium "Karacharovo" has been participating in allied health projects since 2010. During this period, he received more than 3.7 thousand veterans. The level of Karacharovo services was highly appreciated by Belarusian and Russian guiding organizations. Traditionally, the sanatorium hosts the Day of the Union State. State Secretary of the Union State Sergei Glazyev sent greetings to its participants.

"We will always remember the feat of the defenders of the Brest Fortress, the heroes of Stalingrad, the Battle of Kursk, the Belarusian partisans, everyone who forged victory at the front and in the rear," Sergei Glazyev emphasized. He also emphasized that today Russia and Belarus together defend the historical truth, educate a new generation of citizens in respect for the great heritage, cherish the world conquered at the cost of millions of lives.
"The memory of heroic years unites us, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding. I would like to emphasize not only the importance of our unity, but also pay tribute to those who defended and defend their country and its independence, "the Secretary of State said. He expressed gratitude to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the "Afghans" soldiers, and the participants in the special military operation.
In the sanatorium "Karacharovo" today a group of 43 people from the Kaluga, Tula and Tver regions is undergoing rehabilitation procedures. In total, 115 people underwent rehabilitation this year, ten of them were Afghan veterans from Gomel and Vitebsk.
Events within the framework of the Day of the Union State were held in the House of Culture of the sanatorium: an exhibition-presentation "History of the Union State in numbers and dates" unfolded in the foyer, then a concert dedicated to the friendship of fraternal peoples was held on the stage of the Palace of Culture: "The unity of Belarus and Russia - the Union is not more beautiful in the world."
Within the framework of the event, a thematic meeting was also held with representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the Parliamentary Assembly, and the holiday ended with watching the film "Brest Fortress."
