The day before, the 16th shift of children from Belarus and the Russian Federation opened at the Shakhtinsky Tekstilshchik boarding house in the village of Olginka on the Black Sea coast of Russia. From September 10 to 12, the Union State Day is being held here under the motto "We are together." This year, it is dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. State Secretary of the Union State Sergei Glazyev addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. It was read by the head of the Department of Social Policy and Information Support of the Standing Committee of the Union State Olga Boronenko, the press service of the Standing Committee of the Union State reports.

The State Secretary of the Union State welcomed the participants of the Union State Day - a bright, especially significant holiday symbolizing the inseparable traditions of centuries-old friendship, unity of destinies, and cultural community of Belarusians and Russians. "Since 2002, the Standing Committee has been annually organizing treatment and health improvement for children from Belarus and Russia. During this time, thousands of schoolchildren of the Union State have received a unique opportunity to become participants in numerous leisure and development programs, expand their horizons of knowledge by learning more about our fraternal countries and the future prospects for the development of union integration, gain new impressions and find new reliable friends," Sergei Glazyev said in his greeting.
He recalled that in 2025, the Union State Day is dedicated to a significant date - the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. "The peoples of Belarus and Russia are united by common spiritual values and ideals, an understanding of the importance of preserving the historical memory of heroism, courage, friendship, unity and military brotherhood of the defenders of the Fatherland. And you, the younger generation, must always remember that, by defending it, we are jointly resisting attempts to falsify the heroic military past of our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers," the State Secretary of the Union State concluded in his welcoming speech.
REFERENCE: The Shakhtinsky Tekstilshchik boarding house in the village of Olginka on the Black Sea coast is considered one of the best children's health resorts in the Krasnodar Territory. It has repeatedly won the competition for organizing an event to improve the health of children from the regions of Belarus and Russia most affected by the Chernobyl disaster, which has been held by the Standing Committee of the Union State since 2002.
The Shakhtinsky Tekstilshchik has already received the sixteenth shift of children from Belarus and Russia. During this time, more than 13 thousand children from our countries have rested in the boarding house. This year, 650 children from the Altai Territory, Bryansk, Tula, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad Regions and from the Republic of Belarus will undergo a course of spa treatment on Union vouchers.
The Union State Day program includes contests, quizzes, sports competitions, and an evening thematic performance.
