The plenary session was attended by high-ranking representatives of the Union State, the Moscow Government, the Minsk City Executive Committee, and business leaders from Belarus and Russia. The forum included presentations of successful business cases, bilateral negotiations, and an agreement signing ceremony between business representatives.
In his speech, State Secretary of the Union State Sergey Glazyev emphasized that cooperation between Minsk and Moscow is a key element of integration within the Union State. He noted that the economies of the two capitals complement each other well, and trade volumes are steadily growing.
"The Minsk and Moscow economies complement each other well. Our trade volumes are steadily growing. But the Union States have already intertwined their industries so closely that cooperation is the main factor for further growth," said Sergey Glazyev.
Glazyev announced that the Union State will soon launch a mechanism to subsidize interest rates on loans for joint investment projects and the production of goods. He expressed confidence that this tool will be widely used to enhance the competitiveness and joint development of enterprises in Moscow and Minsk.
He also noted that most of the Union State's technical programs are being implemented in Minsk and Moscow, and emphasized the need to support cooperation to introduce new technologies into mass production.
