Embassy lays wreath at Eternal Flame in Moscow in run-up to Belarus' Independence Day

A wreath was laid at the Eternal Flame at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin Wall in Moscow on 30 June to mark the 79th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from Nazi invaders and Belarus' Independence Day, BelTA has learned.

A wreath to the Eternal Flame was laid by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoi. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State, other integration bodies, Russian MPs and Belarusian diplomats.

The participants of the ceremony laid flowers at the memorial plates Minsk Hero City and Brest Hero Fortress in the Alexander Garden and watched a march-past of the troops of the Preobrazhensky Regiment.
