Control Bodies of the Union State Assess the Efficiency of Regional Potential Utilization

Section No. 8 of the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, "Regional Development: Performance Assessment, Achievement of Priorities and Goals, and Facilitation of Economic Potential Growth," was held at the site of OJSC "BELAZ" – the managing company of the "BELAZ-HOLDING" holding company (Zhodino).
Ella Selitskaya, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State, took part in the section.

The meeting noted that the growth of the economic potential of Belarus, Russia, and the Union State is facilitated by competent and effective auditing provided by the financial control bodies of the two countries. The focus of the State Control Committee of Belarus and the Accounts Chamber of Russia is, first and foremost, on monitoring the use of the Union State budget funds, the implementation of joint programs, projects, and activities. The implementation of joint recommendations from the control bodies yields tangible results.
One of the most important areas of Belarusian-Russian cooperation is the deepening of interaction at the regional level. During the section, organized by the control bodies of Belarus and Russia, issues related to assessing the efficiency of utilizing regional potential, implementing development objectives, and achieving regional development goals were discussed. The section participants paid special attention to matters of social development in the regions, facilitating the achievement of technological sovereignty goals, supporting priority economic sectors, and import substitution.
