On April 15, a citizens' reception was held at the Representative office of the Union State Standing Committee in Minsk.

Among the issues raised by visitors during their meeting with Anatoly Markevich, Head of the Union State Standing Committee Representative Office in Minsk, was the topic of developing cultural and educational cooperation between Belarus and Russia, in particular - organization of joint events involving schoolchildren.

Particular attention was paid to the situation concerning children’s creative performances held at the venue of the "House of Moscow" in Minsk. As noted by one visitor, this venue is actively used for performances and concerts featuring students of capital's gymnasiums and schools. However, according to the applicant, in some cases there are obstacles on the part of certain managers to the participation of school groups in such events.

Anatoly Markevich took the information into consideration. Following the discussion, it was decided to hold additional talks with representatives of the Ministry of Education to clarify the reasons why the performances of some school groups at the "House of Moscow" is being called into question.

The Representative Office of the Union State Standing Committee in Minsk awaits an official response from the Ministry of Education on this matter.
