Brest to host next session of Belarus-Russia Union State PA on 16 June

Brest will host the next session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union State of Belarus and Russia on 16 June, the press service of the assembly told BelTA.

“Deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly will discuss the implementation of instructions given by the heads of state during the Union State international patriotic forum “Great Heritage – Common Future” held in Volgograd, Russia in April 2025. They will also adopt a statement on protecting historical truth and preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War,” the press service noted.

The session will discuss matters related to budget, including amendments to the Union State budgets for 2024 and 2025, and a report from the Union State Council of Ministers on budget execution for 2024.

Participating in the session will be representatives from the Permanent Committee of the Union State, ministries and agencies of Belarus and Russia, the Brest Oblast Executive Committee, and the Brest Oblast Council of Deputies.
