BELAZ CEO: 80% of components in our machinery are Belarusian-Russian

At least 80% of components in the main products of BELAZ are Belarusian-Russian. This was stated to journalists by Sergei Lesin, Director General of BELAZ - Managing Company of BELAZ-HOLDING OJSC, before the meeting of the Business Cooperation Council of Belarus and the Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation, BELTA reports.

"Joint ventures are very important when the competencies that our partners have, such as technological and design, are used in production. Today, the average Belarusian-Russian localization level of our main products is 80% or more. This is actually a very high level of localization for such sophisticated products. And it has been achieved thanks to the long-term cooperation between Belarus and Russia, our enterprises," said Sergey Lesin. BELAZ together with the Russian plant "Pneumostroymashina" are implementing an investment project to create a production of hydraulic pumps in Belarus. This is one of the significant projects of the Belarusian-Russian industrial cooperation. It is also planned to provide equipment from Gomselmash, Minsk Tractor Plant and Minsk Automobile Plant with Russian-Belarusian hydraulics.
