BELAZ aims for 100% product localization in the Union State

On the previous day, journalists visited OJSC "BELAZ" as part of the press tour "Movement for improvement of quality of Belarusian goods on the example of industrial enterprises of the Minsk region awarded the State Seal of Quality". Media representatives were able to familiarize themselves with the work of the enterprise, its production capacities and approaches to quality assurance of manufactured machinery.
Deputy General Director for Quality System Management of OJSC "BELAZ" Vitaly Bylitsky spoke about the work of the company on localization of products in the Union State, reported by correspondent Soyuz.by.

"It is very important to preserve the security of our product and independence from events that may occur. We are working to ensure that our product is in fact 100% of the Union State", said the speaker.
One such project was a 220-ton quarry dump truck, that has reached 98% localization. "We use the Kolomna engine, we use a generator and electric motors of Russian production, also metal of Russian production. In fact, there can be some small parts abroad in the form of blocks, low-voltage equipment, which are negligible in the cost of production", - explained Vitaly Bylitsky.
Three models of quarry dump trucks of this class have already been granted the status of "Goods of the Union State". "BELAZ - one of the first enterprises of the Republic of Belarus, which received the status "Goods of the Union State". And here three models of this class received it among the first", - emphasized the Deputy General Director.
According to him, maximum localization gives the consumer a guarantee for the entire life cycle of the machine, which is 7-10 years. "They will find the spare parts, the service and everything else. And there will be no risks like those of just five years ago, when neither we nor our consumer could find spare parts for the engine, hydraulic components were not available. All this has already been developed either in the Russian Federation, or in Belarus", - he noted.
