Belarusian, Russian paratroopers in joint army exercise

Belarusian and Russian military personnel have practiced joint skydiving from an IL-76 aircraft as part of a battalion-level tactical exercise, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

According to the source, the paratroopers lifted off from the Machulishchi airfield and were air dropped in the Osipovichsky exercise area. A total of 120 military personnel took part in the air drop.

The army exercise will last till 27 March. Taking part in it are units of the 103rd Independent Guards Airborne Brigade of the Belarusian army as well as about 100 personnel of the 234th Air Assault Regiment of the 76th Guards Air Assault Division of the Russian army.
