The parties discussed prospects for deeper cooperation in the agricultural and industrial sector and identified areas for growth across the industry. According to the ministry’s press service, bilateral trade increased 2.4 times in January-July 2026 year-on-year. The task now is to increase trade volumes and give the cooperation new substance.
Igor Dorofeichik outlined Belarusian proposals: “We are ready to offer Yakut consumers not only the familiar dairy and meat products, but also products that form the technological foundation of the industry: animal feed, veterinary medicines, vaccines, and seeds.”
Anna Struchkova voiced a request for deeper technological integration: “We are interested in exporting machinery and developing technological partnerships: jointly adapting Belarusian tractors to Yakutia’s extreme climatic conditions, creating a turnkey dairy farm and establishing seed plots for ultra-early-ripening varieties developed by Belarusian breeders.”
The parties are also working on academic exchange with students from Belarusian agricultural universities and cooperation in science. There were also proposals to open trade houses in both countries to showcase the full range of products. “Yakutia has confirmed its readiness to support all initiatives at both levels - from business to public administration. As was noted at the meeting, many joint projects have everything they need - now they just need to be implemented,” the ministry added.
