Belarus and Russia's Yakutia have significant reserves for increasing mutual trade, Deputy Economy Minister Sergei Mitiansky said during a meeting of the joint working group on cooperation between Belarus and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Economy Ministry.

The participants of the meeting discussed the status of the action plan to implement the agreement on trade, economic and cultural cooperation for 2021-2024 and other agreements.

According to Sergei Mitiansky, the interaction between Belarus and Yakutia is growing stronger. There are still significant reserves for further increasing mutual trade. "The withdrawal of companies of unfriendly countries from the Russian market means new opportunities and prospects for our enterprises. Also, the potential in the tourism sector is not fully exhausted. Our common task is to use them to the maximum to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between enterprises and establish new contacts," he said.

"We hope that today's meeting will help to find solutions to all related issues and will serve as a starting point for our business to increase business activity," the deputy minister summed up.
