Belarus and Russia have agreed on the cooperation algorithm in the manufacturing policy, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said after a meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yury Borisov in Minsk on 3 February, BelTA has learned.

“It is probably too early to say that we have made decisions that will yield immediate results. The most important thing is that we have agreed on an algorithm governing further interaction not only between ministries and departments, but also between enterprises and associations of enterprises, concerns, corporations. They will soon hold a series of intensive roundtable discussions and conferences,” Roman Golovchenko said.

According to him, these measures are meant “to further coordinate the industrial policy and its improvement with a view to boosting the common industrial potential of Russia and Belarus”.

Roman Golovchenko explained that the issues discussed on 3 February covered the entire bilateral agenda in the field of manufacturing, defense industry, and space exploration.
