“By implementing the agreements made last year, which were sealed by the decree of the Supreme State Council, we will reach the new frontiers. The work in these areas is well-organized and its implementation is monitored. By mid-2022 we need to conclude one of the most important agreements in this package - on the principles of levying indirect taxes. We have also agreed on an agreement in the customs, and resolved all issues in a constructive manner,” said Roman Golovchenko.
In his words, the parties achieved the highest dynamics in joint work. The heads of state communicate frequently and members of the governments are in constant contact. The permanent group at the level of deputy prime ministers considers topical issues of interaction. “Such issues are frequent, largely as a result of difficulties imposed on us from the outside. For most of them we find acceptable and favorable solutions,” the prime minister stressed.
As BelTA reported earlier, Belarusian President, Chairman of the Supreme State Council of the Union State Aleksandr Lukashenko signed the decree “On the main guidelines for implementation of the provisions of the Union State Treaty for 2021-2023” on 4 November 2021. The document was followed by a package of 28 Union State programs, which will become a practical basis for deeper integration.
