Belarus' Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) and the government of Primorsky Krai, the Russian Federation will form a plan of equipment supply for the next three years. Relevant agreements were reached during the meeting between Primorsky Krai Governor Oleg Kozhemyako and a delegation of Minsk Tractor Works led by Director General Vitaly Vovk in Vladivostok, BelTA learned from the press service of the company.

“We have agreed to expand our presence in Primorsky Krai, although even now Belarusian machinery is well represented in this Russian region. About half of tractors the region purchases annually are of Belarusian manufacture,” Vitaly Vovk said.

According to him, the meeting focused on the improvement of the maintenance system for Belarusian machinery, including the organization of a single service and sales center for domestic producers of agricultural, municipal and other equipment. “We are currently talking about sales and service in Primorye. In the future we will be considering other regions of the Far East,” said the director general.

Oleg Kozhemyako confirmed that Belarusian equipment has a good history of use on the seaside land. “It has been working for many years in agriculture, forestry, municipal services and other sectors. At present, there is a need to set up a single center in the region, which would simplify and reduce the cost of distribution and maintenance of Belarusian-made equipment,” the Primorsky Krai governor explained.

Minsk Tractor Works is one of the world's largest tractor manufacturers. Apart from the main factory the holding company MTZ comprises nine enterprises. As many as 26 assembly enterprises have been established abroad. The manufacturing division employs over 17,000 people. MTZ products are represented in over 60 countries.
