Belarus' government approves draft loan agreement with Eximbank of Russia

The Council of Ministers of Belarus has approved a draft agreement on attracting a loan from Eximbank of Russia. This decision was formalized by the Council of Ministers' Resolution No. 559 as of 24 August 2023. The document was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA informs.

“The draft agreement between the government of the Republic of Belarus (represented by the Finance Ministry of the Republic of Belarus) and the State Specialized Russian Export-Import Bank (joint stock company) on opening a line of credit should be approved as a basis for negotiations,” the document reads.

The Finance Ministry was authorized to conduct negotiations on the draft agreement and sign the document.

The resolution came into force on the day of its adoption.
